The Disney classic ‘Moana’ is set to return with a sequel, ‘Moana 2’, in November 2024.

 

Disney’s CEO, Bob Iger officially announced the release of ‘Moana 2’ available in cinemas from November 27, 2024.

 

After Iger was impressed with the footage, the second “Moana“—which was first conceived as a TV series—became a feature film.

 

Iger said in a statement, “ ‘Moana’ remains an incredibly popular franchise. We can’t wait to give you more of Moana and Maui when ‘Moana 2’ comes to theaters this November.”

 

“Moana 2″ will take viewers on an “expansive new voyage with Moana, Maui, and a brand-new crew of unlikely seafarers,” according to Disney.

 

The ‘Moana 2’ plot promises to be exciting. Moana must go to the remote reaches of Oceania and into hazardous, long-lost waters after hearing an unexpected call from her navigational ancestors. This will be an adventure, unlike anything she has ever experienced.

 

‘Moana 2’ is being directed by Dave Derrick Jr. and has music by Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear in addition to Opetaia Foa’i and Mark Mancina, who collaborated on the original picture.

 

Disney saw success with “Moana,” which brought in over $680 million at the box office. With one billion hours streamed on Disney+ last year, the animated musical saw a resurgence.
