Bloody Civilian : I Started Making Music By Mistake

Nigerian singer and producer, Bloody Civilian has revealed that her journey to a very beautiful and promising career in the music industry started as a mistake.

 

She made the revelation while appearing as a guest on the ‘Bars and Nuggets’ podcast, while also speaking about many other things.

 

Speaking on how she started her music journey, Bloody Civilian said, “I sort of started music by mistake. I just had an app I was playing with in school and it just happened to have so many plugins and things like that. I just started making instrumental tracks”.

 

She further stated that she used the app very frequently but was never aware that she was actually producing music.

 

Bloody Civilian became famous in 2022 when she recorded a soundtrack for Marvel blockbuster, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ titled ‘Wake Up’ featuring Nigerian superstar, Rema.

 

Furthermore, another fascinating project for the singer also involved recording a cover of Bob Marley’s popular song “Natural Mystic” for a 2024 biopic of the late reggae icon.

 

Her first EP, ‘Anger Management’ was released on June 8, 2023 and houses hit singles like ‘Mad Apology’, ‘Escapism’, ‘I don’t Like You’, amongst others.
