Undoubtedly, Jenna Ortega will return to her role as Wednesday Addams; additionally, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, and Catherine Zeta-Jones will all be promoted to series regulars for Season 2. Ordonez portrays Pugsley, Guzmán plays Gomez, and Zeta-Jones plays Morticia. Fred Armisen and Jamie McShane will also be back, along with Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, and Evie Templeton.

Other guest stars include Haley Joel Osment (“The Kominsky Method,” “Somebody I Used to Know”), Heather Matarazzo (“The Princess Diaries,” “Scream”), Joanna Lumley (“Fool Me Once,” “Absolutely Fabulous”), Thandiwe Newton (“Westworld,” “Crash”), Frances O’Connor (“The Missing,” “The Twelve”), and Joonas Suotamo.

The announcement noticeably omits Percy Hynes-White, who played Xavier Thorpe in Season 1. In 2023, following social media accusations of sexual assault against him, Hynes-White denounced a “campaign of misinformation.”

Furthermore, Thandiwe Newton will play a guest star role on Netflix, while Steve Buscemi will debut as a new series regular.

Recall that on April 16, 2024, Variety exclusively revealed Buscemi’s casting; a week later, Newton’s casting was revealed.

When “Wednesday” made its debut in November 2022, it quickly became very popular on Netflix. With over 252.10 million views, it is among the most popular shows ever uploaded by the movie streaming platform.

It received 12 Emmy nominations, of which four were won. Due to the writers’ and performers’ strikes that closed down much of Hollywood in 2023, work on Season 2 was delayed.
